Eco-friendly holidays for thoughtful families

At Happy Family Hotels, since 2008, we have been working to ensure that you can have a family holiday which is also in harmony with nature.

We are proud that we have been judged to be among the top 10 Italian businesses for our high environmental standards. Our award was judged against the international standards of the  eco-awareness symbol, VISIT,  the European Union's Voluntary Initiative for Sustainability in Tourism.

In signing up to the VISIT standard, 'Committed to defending the environment'; Happy Family Hotels agreed to improve its use of clean and used water, energy saving and reducing rubbish.

We also offer regional cooking with organic ingredients from the local area, we rent out bikes and our clients have the chance to gain a greater understanding of the Ligurian countryside and its culture. These are just some of the ways in which we are aiming to offer a greener holiday in harmony with nature.

The VISIT certification, a seal showing a green swan, was launched in Italy in 1997 by the environmental organisation Legambiente. VISIT is a European Union initiative, which provides a level of environmental standards for tourism across the states which make up the EU.
