Finale Ligure

Finale Ligure enjoys a great position close to the historic city of Genoa and near to the Côte d'Azur. Finale is a seaside town which has the added attraction of hills and mountains within walking distance. The town retains its original charm while making good provision for tourists, so it is a perfect destination for every member of the family.

The area covered by Finale Ligure in fact contains three small towns, each with their own character: Finalborgo, Finalmarina e Finalpia.

Finalborgo, the ancient inland walled town, has won awards for being one of the most beautiful towns in Italy.

Finalmarina is on the seafront and has sandy beaches, a tourist marina, restaurants and cafes.

Finalpia, also known as Finale Pia, is the most tranquil of the three areas, with its Benedictine abbey.

Finale Ligure provides lots of great sporting activities in addition to time on the beach. These include free climbing, mountain biking and trekking. Windsurfing can be enjoyed out of season as well. You might also want to try – with the help of our local school - paragliding in tandem or solo from the local hilltops towards the sea. It is also possible to go horse riding along tracks which cut through the Mediterranean heathland overlooking the coast.

Fine foods and wines are a central part of a holiday in Liguria: from local pesto and wines, to fish soups and local puddings and cakes.
